Tio Hardiman | Clinton School Presents

Tio Hardman

Interview with Tio Hardman for NPR affiliate KUAR on Clinton School Presents, a weekly dialogue of distinguished guests that visit the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Tio Hardiman, director of CeaseFire Illinois, an award-winning public health model that is scientifically proven to reduce shootings and killings. Since joining CeaseFire in 1999, he helped oversee expansion of the program from five Chicago-based community sites to 26 sites throughout Illinois and piloted the use of highly specialized violence intervention experts who mediate conflict by working directly with leaders and influential decision-makers in street organizations.
