Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Dr. Vince Bertram, who is president and chief executive officer of Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a nonprofit organization that provides transformative educational experiences for K-12 students and teachers across the U.S. Bertram serves as the education expert for the U.S. Department of State's United States Speaker and Specialist Program. He has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives, is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post and other national publications, and in November 2014, became a New York Times bestselling author with his book One Nation Under-Taught: Solving America’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Crisis. Prior to joining PLTW, Bertram was a teacher, principal, and urban superintendent. He holds doctorate, specialist, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees from Ball State and Harvard University.
